Pastor Darryl Holt

Pastor Holt has been involved in Christian ministry for over 30 years, he is the founder of Faith Life Church of God in Christ and Frontline Community Development Corporation. He is a writer, teacher and military historian.  His ministry training began in Jacksonville, NC and has taken him across the European, African and Asian continents.

Serving a three-year Ministerial Apprenticeship in Urban Evangelism, Christian Education, and Management, Church Administration under Superintendent Thomas Hammonds, Pastor of Friendly Church of God in Christ Inc., and served as Dean of the Laymen’s School of Ministry.

Under Bishop Samuel L. Green Jr., General Board Member and Prelate of the 2nd Jurisdiction, Virginia Church of God in Christ Inc., he served a 10-year Pastoral Apprenticeship in Pastoral Ministry and Administration, Ministerial and Ministry Ethics, Christian Education and Management, Mass Communications with an emphasis on the effective use of media in ministry; Youth incarceration with internships at both the Newport News and Hampton, VA Juvenile Detention Centers; and Church of God in Christ Polity at Regent University, Virginia Beach, Virginia.

In 1999, he and his family founded Faith Life Church of God in Christ in Chesapeake Virginia.  In 2007, they purchased and renovated a 3600-square ft. a former furniture store in their present facility. He is the son of the late Pastor Marvin F. Holt and Evangelist Cumerdis F. Looney, he has two sons and one grandson.
