Be sure that you receive all that Christ made available.  Don’t settle for anything less.  There are Christians who rightfully and gratefully receive the part of Christ’s work on the cross where He took their sins and made them able to enter heaven after death, but they fail to receive the rest of the work that Christ did for them.

They fail to live in the abundance that Christ has made possible.  There could be many reasons for not receiving it ALL.  It could be due to lack of knowledge, it could be that they falsely believe that they simply are not worthy, or maybe they think they don’t need anything more because He’s already done enough, etc.  While I agree that cleansing us from our sins and saving us from hell is more than enough, our God is such a good God that He went above and beyond where many Christians have settled.  Here are a few of the things Christ did for us beyond taking our sins…

While I agree that cleansing us from our sins and saving us from hell is more than enough, our God is such a good God that He went above and beyond where many Christians have settled.  Here are a few of the things Christ did for us beyond taking our sins…

  • In 2 Corinthians 5:21, we read that “For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.”  It’s pretty plain, but I can make it even simpler…He took your sin and gave you His righteousness.  God no longer looks at you as a sinner, but He now looks at you just as He looks at Christ because you now have Christ’s righteousness. Don’t hold your head down, but stand boldly and share the precious message of the gospel and show forth God’s amazing grace in your life as a testimony of His goodness and His work in you.
  •  He has blessed you with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ (Ephesians 1:3).
  • He made you accepted in the beloved (Ephesians 1:6).  Christ has made you acceptable in His family.  He has adopted you into His family (Romans 8:15).  He has legally made you his son or daughter.  Also see (Ephesians 2:19).
  • He has made you sit in heavenly places with Him (Ephesians 2:6).
  • He has given you boldness and access with confidence by that faith of him (Ephesians 3:12).
  • He has given you the privilege to come boldly to Him and ask for His grace when you need help in areas of weakness (Hebrews 4:16).
  • He cares for you and is concerned about what you are going through (1 Peter 5:7).

There are so many more benefits that Christ has made available to the believer when He died on the cross.  Search the scriptures and receive all that God has made available to you.  Be quick to share this good news with others!  Give God all the honor, glory, and praise for His great love, goodness, grace, and mercy.

Remember, all this and more is made possible by the grace of God; it is His precious gift to you (Ephesians 2:8-9).
